Lejla is a graduate student at Western Kentucky University, currently pursuing her Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership, and certificate in Business Core Competencies. She completed her Bachelors of Science in May of 2019 with an emphasis in Accounting and Data Analytics. She also holds a certificate from BB&T as an Emerging Leader, and from NASBA for Ethical Leadership.
During her time at WKU Lejla served as a student advisor and student ambassador for the Gordon Ford College of Business for three years. These leadership roles have allowed her to communicate with prospective students and their families, give guided tours of the University and the College for prospective students, and volunteer at various professional development events hosted by the College. She has also interned for Arconic in Knoxville as an accounting intern and at General Motors in Bowling Green as a production and finance intern. She had the opportunity to experience the fast-paced manufacturing industry and assist with production projects, annual budgets, and audits.
Lejla moved to the United States at a young age and she credits her parents for her work-ethic, strong foundation in education, and her passion for helping people. She believes the key to success is hard work, constant learning, and continuous reflection. She lives by the quote, “being positive in a negative situation is not naïve. It’s leadership.”
